Nabo Barsho Resolution!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year!!! Or rather Subho Nabo Barsho (hence forth referred to as SNB) screamed a SMS on my 6600 (that's my Nokia mobile model number). Well its the New Year 1413 as per the Bengali calender. The SMS came early in the morning around 10 o' clock and it was from my Mom & Dad.{ Early morning is a very relative term I must say as my morning starts after majority of my fellow countrymen have already had their lunch}

I somehow managed to open half of my left eye (the right one was still asleep- incase you are one of those inquisitive types) and said to myself "SNB" thinking all the while wat is so 'subho' about it. Given a choice and chance (i prefer both) I would have preferred to sleep a couple of quarters more . Since it(SMS) came from my Head Quarters I did not let the volley of those chosen words be audible in public. I crashed the thought in my mind as smooth and fast as it had appeared. The smell of ripe bananas alerted my senses further and I saw my rommie Thakore Ji munching on one saying "Dada, Utho. Aaj aap ka New Year Hai..Happy New year". I corrected him saying its "SNB" which he did repeat after me in a kind of broken accent.

Somehow reluctantly I withdrew myself from the magnetic attraction of my soft bed and tried to visualize wats the deal.The wall clock displayed 10:08 and my mobile/(s) showed 42 missed calls and 14 unread messages. I thought to myself how lethagic I have become lately. The whole world had been attempting to wish me and here I an Mr Sleepy Head.

Huh !!!! I said to myself.They didn't sleep late around 3 am, nor did they spend the first couple of hour scratching their whole body from mosquito bites and neither did they have a rather eventful week courtesy Annavru (elder brother) Kannada da Kanmani (Kannada's darling) Natasaarvabhauma (king among actors ) Dr. Rajkumar.

The idea flashed as fast as the Phillips 40 Watt bulb on my bed side console. How or Why don't I make a Nabo Barsho resolution??

Why don't I buy a Goodnite Mosquito Repellent for my room and use it everyday? I thought it was my fundamental right to experience scratch proof sleeps. I immediately glanced out of my window and could see the shops open and doing brisk business.

I grabbed my wallet and here i goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
